Personality: A gentle soul with a kind heart. While he was once struck with the weight of guilt, freedom from it has made Akemi a stronger individual with an unwavering sense of justice. He holds peace in the highest regard, and stands by a vow to avoid killing unless totally necessary. Determined to find a resolution without death, Akemi will often place himself against overwhelming odds to follow his code of morality. However, because peace comes before his desire to avoid killing, Akemi will take life when it benefits the world. He is not blind to the nature of evil, and is under no impression that all bad in the world can be made good.  As a high ranking ninja, Akemi accepts the responsibilities of his position. He lends his aid to the village by assisting in Academy classes from time to time, and does stand willing to train genin. However, Akemi is not a shinobi that offers his time to every upstart ninja. Only those who carry a mindset fit to follow his philosophy will ever find themselves under his wing.

Fighting Style: An absolute master in the practition of Fuinjutsu. Akemi's trademark ability stems from placing seals on his own tongue and practically spitting tags by placing chakra through the buds they're connected to. While possessing a very balanced understanding for other jutsu, Akemi tends to rely more on a combination of his fuinjutsu and kenjutsu. The use of a staff allows him to hold a gap between he and his opponents while placing explosive tags on the ends as he fights results in impact even stronger than his own force could accomplish. While a member of the Kaguya clan, Akemi knows little of it. Touching upon his skill in ninjutsu, Akemi has followed the Path of the Sage among the Swans he has formed a contract with.
History

Very little was expected of Akemi when he was born. The product of one night between a visiting Jounin of Kiri, and an 'escort' working in a gambling house near Konoha, there was very little -to- expect.  Forced to leave her job, Akemi's mother went to stay with her own parents and gave birth to him with little word from his father. Because of her position, no word was expected, and no ties bound to form. She was forced to raise him with his grandparents and try to support him doing odd jobs...many her son was sure to be shamed by if he were old enough to understand.

While his mother was hardly an innocent woman, she was a good parent. She walked with Akemi, read to him, and taught him everything she could between sessions of coddling and pampering him like a doll. Their bond was tight, and only severed when disease carried her way from him. Cared for from then on by his grandparents, Akemi was sent to the Academy at a reasonable age, and made progress quickly until he graduated as a Genin. While he was never physically overwhelming, he had a subtle balance to his abilities that allowed him to adapt to countless situations- a trait that kept him alive against the odds on a number of missions.

Akemi was the pride of his sensei, a rival in skill to the other boy on his team, and a frustrating rival in beauty to the girl. While they were full of quirks, his team was prodigous and well above expectations. This changed when the Chunin exams went underway. While Akemi's first opponent went down with little effort, the same could be said of his rival's. By the second round, the two teammates had actually been paired against one another. A glorious fight ensued that put the crowd on its edge and left those that knew them radiant with pride. Akemi's versatility kept his opponent from taking control, and the other boy's sheer level of speed and jutsu kept him from doing the same. Atleast, until Akemi's guard was broken.

Set off his feet and forced toward the edge of the arena, it all seemed lost for Akemi when his opponent descended with a powerful taijutsu technique. The crowd was amazed, ready to erupt with pleasure at the rise of a new genin.....but that was before Akemi acted. Desperate, Akemi let a tag split by his tongue and threw it. One "Snake" seal later, and no part of his dear friend was left in one piece.

The battle had been won, but it had seriously shaken Akemi. He proceeded from the semi-finals to the last battle and while he put up a decent fight in his state he had been defeated by a powerful young ninja from Sunagakure. He ascended to the status of Chunin that year, but his heart wasn't in it.

His sensei worked from that point on to inspire Akemi again, because he would never move forward if he was lost in the past. Explaining that death was a thing that all shinobi face, and that anyone could become an enemy at any time didn't help though. If the life of a shinobi was one so wrought with chaos, Akemi didn't know if he wanted to live it. So the effort then was to remind him of the good that came from carrying on.

Depressed, Akemi had nearly given up entirely on his progress. But that was until the mother of his fallen friend visited him. A slap to the face and a reminder of how shinobi lived, and how they should go on to do good reminded him that it was not hopeless. Motivated again, Akemi went back to his training and took on missions.

He rose fast, using his balanced skillset to take down powerful enemies and even the odds against large forces. More important than his ability in combat though, Akemi honed his sense of morality. He saw right and wrong clearly, and was willing to place himself in danger to see justice done and wrongs undone.
It was a stand against a small army sent to eliminate priests oppressed by their own nation's new rule saw Akemi rise from Jounin to Kounin though. Having defended their temples to the last building, he utilized seals and tags expertly to dispatch but not kill large numbers in record time. Summons assisted him in binding the incapacitated, and a day of recovery let him assist the people of a small but hopeful country take back their land and make right their rule without an ounce of blood shed.

While it was with combat that Akemi found them peace, there was no death involved. Having been the leading force in a bloodless battle, Akemi's status became legendary in the ninja world. While some considered him soft and bound to an early death for it, others saw him as a revolutionary and believed that If his philosophy was taken up my more ninja, the world would become a far more peaceful place.

Ascending to this legendary status left many doors open to Akemi, and plenty of reason to look back at his own village with disdain. Inching toward a war he knew he could not prevent, Akemi caught wind of a familiar ninja from Sunagakure shaping a village bound to peace and neutrality. Making his own stand against the Hokage in a wide display for the entire village to see, Akemi made light of where their village was headed and advised that others join him in making a new home for themselves.

While the whole village was hardly drawn by his pretty words, his actions were far too bold to go unheard. He was joined by many he had helped instruct at the academy, and higher level ninja who had turned a blind eye on their village's corruption. A small ensemble, just strong enough to break through, made way for Honegakure and with Akemi as their leader would make themselves an instrumental piece in the new village's growth.
